Part of the Tahona line launched for Casa San Matías' 130th anniversary, this reposado rests the same tahona stone-crushed spirit in oak just long enough to round out its edges while preserving the earthy, mineral character the Tahona method is known for.

100% Blue Weber agave is slow-roasted in brick ovens, crushed with the distillery's original volcanic basalt stone, fermented in pine wood vats, and double-distilled in copper pot stills before resting in oak — all under the direction of master distiller Rocío Rodríguez.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is Tahona Reposado different from Tahona Blanco?
Both start from the same tahona stone-crushed spirit; the Reposado rests in oak barrels afterward (a minimum of 2 months by law), adding vanilla, honey, and toasted notes on top of the Blanco's agave-forward base.

What does "tahona" mean?
It refers to the traditional volcanic stone wheel Casa San Matías has used since 1886 to crush cooked agave, rather than a modern mechanical shredder.

Best way to drink it?
Sip neat or on the rocks to appreciate the balance of agave sweetness and oak.
